Sanco Poipet Special Economic zone covers more than 83ha in Poipet city in Banteay Meanchey province. It is the home of 10 companies currently operating on the premise, nine of them are Japanese-owned including NHK Spring, Steel Hub, SC Wado Component (Cambodia) Co Ltd, Techno Park Poi Pet Pvt Co Ltd, and Koiwabond (Cambodia) Co Ltd. The tenants mainly manufacture automobiles and electric and electronic components for export to Japan and Thailand.
